Discipleship as Lifestyle
Reading: Deuteronomy 6:4-9 - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. NIV

Devotional: The Greek word Jesus used means "go discipling"—not as a scheduled event but as a way of life. Discipleship happens in the carpool line, over coffee, during work breaks, and in everyday moments. It's not about adding another program to your calendar; it's about inviting someone into your life as you follow Jesus. Think about how parents teach children—not just in formal lessons but through constant interaction, modeling, and conversation. Jesus modeled this with His disciples, teaching them while walking, eating, and serving. What if you stopped compartmentalizing your faith and started living it openly? Who could you invite into your normal rhythms of life? Discipleship thrives in authenticity, not perfection. Let someone see your real walk with Jesus.
