Leaving Your Life of Sin

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Devotional:
"Go now and leave your life of sin" isn't condemnation—it's invitation. Jesus doesn't minimize sin, but He maximizes grace. When He tells the woman to leave her old life, He's offering her something better: new creation. Leaving sin isn't about white-knuckle willpower; it's about recognizing you're ready for transformation. Paul writes that in Christ, you are a new creation—the old has gone, the new is here. This requires practical steps: deleting apps, blocking numbers, changing friend groups, avoiding familiar temptations. Transformation happens when the Holy Spirit's conviction meets your willingness to act now. You don't need to wait until you feel strong enough. The power for change comes from Christ, not from you. What needs to change? You already know. The question is: are you ready now?

Reflection: What one practical step can you take today to leave behind what God is calling you from?
