Belonging, Not Collecting
Reading: Ephesians 2:15-18 - For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Devotional: The Jewish believers had everything—covenants, laws, circumcision, rich history. Yet none of that "stuff" automatically made anyone part of God's family. Christ Himself is our peace, breaking down every wall and creating one new family. You cannot collect your way into belonging. Church attendance, Bible knowledge, Christian merchandise, even good deeds—none of these make you a Christian. What matters is being "in Christ Jesus." Have you been trying to earn your place through religious activity? Stop collecting and start belonging. The gospel isn't about accumulating spiritual credentials; it's about a transformative relationship with Jesus that reorganizes your entire life. You're brought near by His blood alone, not by your resume.
