Working Out What God Works In
Reading:
Philippians 2:12-13 - Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Devotional: "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you." This paradox holds beautiful tension: we work, yet God works. We respond, yet He initiates. David's story of walking on water illustrates this perfectly—what seemed terrifying going forward became manageable looking back, because grace was there all along. You're not working for salvation, but working out what God has already worked in you.
The fear and trembling isn't terror of rejection, but reverence for the sacred process of transformation. God's voice calls you forward: "Come on, you can do this." His grace has already gone before you, making a way. Today, step forward in one area where you've been paralyzed by fear, trusting that God's grace is already there.
