From Saved to Saving
Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
Devotional: The woman at Starbucks who showed the pastor flooding videos had experienced salvation herself—and immediately turned to save her neighbors. This is the natural progression of grace received: it becomes grace extended. When Jesus saves you from the penalty, power, and eventually the presence of sin, He simultaneously commissions you as an ambassador of that same salvation. You've been rescued not just for your benefit, but so you can participate in God's rescue mission for others. Your story of salvation—however recent or distant—is someone else's invitation to hope. Who in your life needs to hear that salvation is available? Who needs to see it demonstrated through your transformed life? Today, ask God to open your eyes to one person you can reach with the grace that reached you.
